At Spring Manufacturing Corp., we supply high caliber extension springs for the aerospace, military, medical and other markets. Since our founding in 1979, we have advanced extension spring manufacturing by developing intelligent engineering and design concepts that place a strong emphasis on design for manufacturability and material selection. We have also invested in modern manufacturing systems to deliver the best performing product at the most affordable price.

When designing an extension spring, we consider aspects such as initial tension, end type, coil direction, stress level, and space constraints. We specify the wire diameter, inside and outside diameter, free length, extended length, and winding direction to satisfy application-specific requirements. Also, we specify extension spring ends, such as hooks and loops, in almost endless configurations.

We have the ability to fabricate extension springs in both conventional materials as well as high-value alloys that exhibit exceptional strength, toughness, and durability in high heat conditions. Materials we commonly use include stainless steel, music wire, beryllium copper, tungsten, Monel®, and Inconel®. From prototype to small lot or large-scale production of finished products, we pay detailed attention to quality to ensure the extension springs conform to specifications. For multi-piece extension spring designs, we can assemble them here in our facility.

Our extension springs are used in medical devices, computers and electronics, machinery, robotics, military equipment, and many other performance-critical applications. To learn more about our extension spring manufacturing solutions or request a quote, please contact us directly.
